Honeymoon in Peru: 7 Days of Romance and Unforgettable Experiences

Who said a honeymoon has to be at the beach?
Peru is an alternative for you if you’re looking for something different: carefully selected hotels, excellent food, extraordinary landscapes, and the chance to discover Machu Picchu during one of the most special trips of your lives.
In one week, you can travel from the Pacific coast to the landscapes of the Sacred Valley, enjoy private experiences, and explore one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites.
And you don’t have to choose between adventure and comfort.
A honeymoon in Peru can offer both, as long as the itinerary is well organized and leaves time to enjoy each destination.
Why Choose Peru for Your Honeymoon?
Peru offers a combination that’s hard to find in a single trip.
In Lima, you’ll discover an internationally acclaimed food scene, oceanfront neighborhoods, and a wide selection of hotels and restaurants. In the Sacred Valley, you’ll find Andean landscapes, distinctive accommodations, and experiences that bring you closer to the region’s traditions. And at Machu Picchu, you’ll discover one of the most extraordinary places in the world.
What makes this journey interesting is the contrast between these destinations.
It’s not about spending seven days going from one excursion to the next. We want you to enjoy a balance of sightseeing, time to relax, and experiences that bring something different to each day.
If you love exploring new places but also value privacy and comfort, Peru has a lot to offer you.
Lima: A Welcome by the Pacific
Your honeymoon begins in Lima, where you’ll spend the first two days of your trip.
When you arrive, we’ll welcome you and take you to your hotel so you can begin getting to know the city. Miraflores, with its oceanfront spaces, restaurants, and cosmopolitan atmosphere, is an excellent place to start.
On your second day, you’ll discover Peru’s cuisine together, one of the country’s greatest attractions.
During your food tour, you’ll explore markets, ingredients, and dishes that are part of our culinary identity.
Lima will surprise you with its energy, contrasts, and extraordinary food scene.
Between the Pacific Ocean, its lively neighborhoods, and a cuisine that has earned international recognition, you’ll discover a capital that offers far more than a stopover before heading to the Andes. It’s a destination worth enjoying in its own right and an exceptional start to your honeymoon.
The Sacred Valley: Andean Landscapes and Private Experiences
After Lima, you’ll fly to Cusco and continue from there to the Sacred Valley.
This region brings together some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. You’ll find mountains, traditional villages, and ancient Inca sites in a setting that combines tranquility with fascinating places to explore.
During your stay, you’ll visit Maras and Moray, two very different places. The Maras salt pans will amaze you with hundreds of pools spread across the hillside, while Moray’s circular terraces will give you a glimpse into the Incas’ agricultural history.
You’ll also enjoy a private Pachamanca, a traditional way of cooking food with hot stones. And you’ll take part in an Andean spiritual ceremony dedicated especially to the two of you, a symbolic moment to celebrate this new chapter.
These experiences are part of what we’ve designed to help you discover local traditions and enjoy something different during your honeymoon.
The Sacred Valley also gives you the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the surroundings of your hotel.
Here, you can combine the excitement of exploring the Andes with the pleasure of having time for yourselves, without filling every moment with activities.
Machu Picchu: The Highlight of Your Journey
We know Machu Picchu is one of the main reasons many couples choose Peru. And we want you to experience it in a special way.
The train journey to Aguas Calientes passes through mountain scenery, follows part of the Urubamba River, and reveals how the vegetation changes as you approach the sanctuary.
When you arrive at Machu Picchu, you’ll discover an extraordinary place, from its location and architecture to its history. You’ll explore the citadel with a guide who will help you understand its significance and notice details you might otherwise miss on your own.
We’ve included two visits to Machu Picchu on consecutive days, subject to ticket availability, authorized circuits, and entry times.
This gives you more time at the sanctuary and an experience that doesn’t depend on a single visit.
Take in Machu Picchu surrounded by the vast Andes. Enjoy the scenery, discover its history, and give yourselves time to appreciate one of Peru’s most extraordinary places.
Cusco: One Last Stop Before Heading Home
After Machu Picchu, you’ll return to Cusco.
In the former capital of the Inca Empire, you’ll discover distinctive architecture, cobblestone streets, and historic sites that reveal another side of our country.
We’ve set aside a morning for a light sightseeing tour before taking you to the airport.
That way, you can enjoy your final hours in Cusco without adding a long day of excursions.

Frequently Asked Questions About a Honeymoon in Peru
Are seven days enough for a honeymoon in Peru?
Yes. With a well-organized route, you can enjoy Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco without trying to see the entire country in one week.
We’ve planned the activities and transfers so you can make the most of your time and enjoy each destination.
What is the best time of year to visit?
Between May and September, you’ll generally find drier conditions in the Cusco and Machu Picchu region. It’s a popular time to visit the Andes.
During the rainy season, the landscapes may be greener, although some activities require more flexibility due to the weather.
We can help you choose dates that best suit your preferences.
Do we need to trek to visit Machu Picchu?
No. You’ll travel to Aguas Calientes by train and continue by authorized transport to the entrance of the sanctuary.
During your visit, you’ll walk along paths, stairs, and uneven surfaces, but you don’t need to hike the Inca Trail to see Machu Picchu.
What should we know about the altitude?
Cusco sits at approximately 3,400 meters (11,150 feet) above sea level, while several areas of the Sacred Valley are at a lower elevation.
That’s why we’ve arranged your arrival in the Andes with an initial stay in the Sacred Valley, where you can begin adjusting to the altitude while enjoying extraordinary surroundings.
Everyone responds differently to altitude, and this approach does not eliminate the risk of altitude sickness. We recommend keeping this in mind as you prepare for your trip.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend planning your honeymoon well in advance, especially if you have specific dates in mind for visiting Machu Picchu.
Tickets are subject to availability, authorized circuits, and entry times. The same applies to certain transportation and accommodation services.
Can we customize the experience?
We’d love to hear about your preferences and what you’d like to include in your honeymoon.
We can review the available options together and consider special requests based on the itinerary and service availability. Our team will explain the alternatives and relevant conditions before you confirm your booking.
