Rainbow Mountain

MORNING

1. Early Morning Pickup & Drive to Trailhead: Depart Cusco between 4:00–4:30 AM in a private van, passing through traditional Andean villages on a 3.5-hour drive to the trailhead at Chillca.

   
   

2. Breakfast & Hike Begins: Enjoy a hearty, freshly prepared breakfast before starting the 4-hour uphill hike, with the option to hire a horse for the ascent.

   
   

3. Scenic Ascent through the Andes: Take in breathtaking views of red mountains, glacial peaks, and herds of llamas, alpacas, and wild vicuñas along the trail to Rainbow Mountain.

   
   

AFTERNOON/EVENING

1. Summit Rainbow Mountain: Reach the summit for incredible panoramic views of the colorful striped mountains, Ausangate Glacier, and surrounding valleys while enjoying hot drinks.

   
   

2. Descent & Hot Lunch: Hike 2 hours downhill back to the trailhead and savor a freshly prepared, hot lunch served by your private chef.

   
   

3. Return to Cusco: Relax on the drive back to Cusco, with drop-off at your hotel between 7:00–8:00 PM.
