Is Kusa Treks a licensed and insured tour operator in Peru?

Yes! We are fully licensed, insured, and operate in compliance with all local and national tourism regulations.

Who leads the tours, and what are their qualifications?

All of our guides are experienced locals, fluent in English and Spanish, with certifications and degrees in tourism. They are focused on safety first and having a good time second!

What kind of accommodations do you offer on your tours?

Depending on the package, we offer a range of accommodations from boutique hotels and eco-lodges to luxury camping, all vetted for comfort, cleanliness, and local charm.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

Absolutely. Just let us know in advance and we’ll work with our chefs and lodging partners to ensure your dietary needs are met.

Are your tours suitable for families with children or older travelers?

Yes! Many of our itineraries can be tailored for different ages and abilities. We also offer private tours for more flexibility.

What’s included in the price of your trekking and travel packages?

Most packages include lodging, transportation, entrance fees (like Machu Picchu), guided tours, most meals, and domestic flights. We provide a detailed breakdown for each itinerary.

What’s your cancellation and refund policy?

Besides the nonrefundable deposit most trips require to purchase your entrance tickets (which we must do as far out in advance as possible) your trip is fully refundable up until 2 weeks before your trip. 

How does Kusa Treks give back to local communities?

A portion of every trip goes directly toward supporting women entrepreneurs and school programs in remote villages. Along with many other activities, please view our blog page for more information.
