Extended Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
A relaxed Inca Trail journey with exclusive campsites and a refreshed arrival at Machu Picchu.

Why Choose the Extended Inca Trail?
The Extended Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (5 Days) is designed for travelers who want to experience the legendary Inca Trail at a more comfortable and immersive pace.
Instead of rushing through the classic route, this itinerary spreads the trek over five days, allowing shorter hiking distances and more time to explore archaeological sites along the trail.
Hikers follow the original Inca stone path through the Andes, passing ancient ruins, high mountain passes and cloud forest ecosystems before reaching Machu Picchu.
One of the highlights of this itinerary is camping at Phuyupatamarca (3,680 m / 12,073 ft), known as the “Town in the Clouds”, offering spectacular panoramic views over the Sacred Valley.
Unlike the traditional 4-day trek, this version includes a hotel night in Aguas Calientes, allowing you to arrive at Machu Picchu refreshed and ready to fully enjoy the guided visit the following morning.
