Schedule Overview

DAY 1 THE JOURNEY BEGINS

  • Pick up from your Cusco hotel around 4AM

  • 2.5 hour drive to trailhead

  • 6-7 hours of hiking to first campsite

DAY 2 CHALLENGING DAY

  • Early Start

  • Hike to highest point of the trek

  • Arrive in Choquequirao in the evening

DAY 3 FULL DAY ON THE RUINS

  • Entire day exploring the ruins

  • Professional tour guide of select sites

  • Camp directly on the ruins

DAY 4 RETURN

  • Return on same path

  • Mainly downhill

  • Same campsite as day 1

DAY 4 BACK TO CUSCO

  • Hike uphill to vans

  • Arrive in the afternoon

  • Drive back to Cusco hotel for some R&R
